I started to make music properly about 8 years ago. This was the first
thing I did. A version of the Doctor Who theme with eighties pop tunes
references inserted, lol. Listen closely and you'll hear Duran Duran's
Save a Prayer, Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas and the whole
second middle eight is based on the break from Ultravox's Vienna.
It was all done in Cubase - and no, I had NO idea what I was doing, LOL. So, the whole thing was recorded in one go as Cubase played it. Its played on the old Soundblaster live midi soundfont. Very rough, I'm afraid, as you'll see, lol. Ive taken it into Cool Edit to try to give it a bit of reverb and depth, however, not having seperate tracks for the instruments means Im a little limited in what I can do with it, lol. So....hope you like..but be gentle...I honestly didnt know the firs tthing about using a pc to create music. Nowadays I use Cakewalk and Cool Edit - much better :) |
