I approached this remix from the standpoint of ‘What if the Gold themes had looked more to the Howell themes for inspiration.’ – It doesn’t really aim to take the Howell bass and simply slot it into a Gold style theme, but instead for a theme that would sound right at home in the Gold era whilst bringing the bounciness of the Howell era; I’m hoping for it to sound authentic, rather than accurate. In my head I imagined this would be the theme if Davison had been the 10th Doctor instead of the 5th. Of course, whether it actually sounds any good is up to you folks, but I feel that this is my most polished effort yet, having put it through numerous revisions before I considered it good enough to send to this site. It’s also the first time I’ve used a sample from the show, if only to emphasise my image of Davison’s Doctor being central to this theme. I’d also consider making an intro style video for this on youtube, so please let me know if you think it’s worth it. Anyway, hope you enjoy.
