I started by sampling the 1963 version and adding percussion, then it grew from there. Then I spent 2 days editing it until I was happy with it. I like to think of it as though the original version has been broken and repaired several times, resulting in something similar and recognizable, but with a different tone and energy. In that sense, it would be a good theme for a Cyberman story, as the theme has been upgraded into something new.
