I’m a Music Technology student at University, and most of my compositions here are
electroacoustic experimental stuff. I’ve noticed that sort of thing isn’t very
popular on whomix.trilete.net (in fact, is there anywhere that experimental music is
really popular?) so I decided to do an ambient sort of chill out piece. Every time I
listen to this song I hear something different in it, but at the same time it’s
quite a simple piece. Whenever I do listen to it though, I do get the image of the
Doctor stepping out of the Tardis onto a new alien world for the first time, and he
slowly surveys the barren landscape, and that’s where the inspiration for the title
came from. I’m sure this piece won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, so to speak, but I’d
love to know what people think of it because it’s very rich in texture and in
possibility.
