First things first, I wasn’t too sure about the quotes, but I actually
think they fit in quite well. This mix is supposed to suggest the idea of
dimensional transcendence while not forgetting the essentials of what a
proper Doctor Who theme should be, so it may fit into credits (minus the
quotes obviously!). So I recorded all the notes in real time on my Yamaha
and then added a couple of TARDIS noises and Pertwee quotes to do with the
TARDIS being bigger on the inside. With the quotes, I thought thy sounded
better pitched down slightly and with stereo echoes added. And finally, I’m
really sorry about the smal level of distortion here and there, but that’s
just my crappy recording facillities for you!
