This pastiche was created on a Korg Triton Workstation. I suppose that it is actually a version of the closing theme as it starts with a muted version of the middle eight. The idea was to capture the sound of Russell T. Davis'
previous theme tunes and put the who theme through the same process. The
obligatory sine wave lead is there as well as a couple of explosions and
swoops at the end. I'm quite happy with it, I think it has a very light
open airy feel.
On it's first time out in the big wide world a few people took it a bit too seriously, thinking that it was what the new production team were considering using... obviously that's not true but Mr. Davis... If you just so happen to be mooching about looking for a composer...? |
