I decided to hark back the days of David Tennant with this track. Truth be told, the bones of this one were being put together back when Tennant was still the incumbent Doctor. It’s a fusion of Murray Golds 10th Doctor theme with Grainers title theme. With this arrangement I wanted to convey the Doctors power, rage, joy and, as the title suggests, his loneliness. It’s almost entirely orchestral, with the Derbyshire melody sample being used to emphasise the otherworldly quality of the Doctor.
