My first submission to whomix. It had to be good. I hope it’s good. I like think of this as my “traditional” theme: with layers added to the Derbyshire baseline and the original melody. I think the Doctor Who theme should be exciting, so I’ve got heavy timpani beats to add some menace, and sharp, millitary-style snare drum to drive the theme forward. A lower-pitched layer of the baseline adds a throbbing quality to it, with a simple string loop for orchestral detail. Turn up the volume and enjoy! I hope you enjoy.
